I love my Tigers, but Lance Parrish isn't even the best catcher to play in Detroit. I would give my vote to Bill Freehan. An all around steady catcher who did the job at an All-Star level. Was named an All-Star 11 of his 15 seasons, all played in Detroit. Had he played in a bigger market, he would have been named to the H.O.F. as one of the greats at the position. Lastly, how about an honorable mention to Toledo native Roger Bresnahan. Player can thank him for shin guards, batting helmets, and the padded catcher's mask.

I would Take Billy Williams, Stan Musial, George Foster or Albert Belle over Gonzalez, but that's just me.

Once again...subjective. #1 Shoeless Joe Jackson. Most of these guys are in for their offense. Ted Williams, Jackie Jensen and others all claim Jimmy Piersall as the best centerfielder they ever saw. Should be broken down to offensive skills and defensive skills. DiMaggio had one of the finast bats but never dove for a ball. Griffey and Lofton could climb the fence as good as it gets but in the last 20+ years many a quality defensive centerfielder has made names for themselves.
